“Consistency,

consistency,

consistency.”

Growing a multi-platform personal brand through structured short-form content

When this project began, the client was effectively starting from zero as a personal brand in the Catholic content space. Instagram had around 300 followers, while TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook had no meaningful audience. There was no consistent posting rhythm, no clear cross-platform growth system, and no reliable path guiding attention towards long-form podcast content.

The objective was to build a recognisable Catholic creator brand across multiple platforms, grow audience attention over time, and create a content ecosystem that could consistently direct viewers towards the client’s full-length podcast and deeper content.

This was not approached as random posting. The strategy was to turn long-form conversations, podcast episodes, and talks into a structured short-form content engine designed for repeatability and scale.

We identified the strongest moments from podcast episodes and talks, shaped them into short-form assets, and published them at a high cadence to maximise consistency and reach. Instagram was prioritised heavily, including collaboration posts to widen exposure, while YouTube served as the long-form destination for deeper engagement.

Alongside repurposed content, we also incorporated more casual and reactive material to make the brand feel more current and alive. Reaction-style filming sessions added flexibility and variety, while the client’s own active involvement in content contribution and approvals helped strengthen the system over time.

The Results

Over approximately 18 months…

Instagram grew from 300 to 18,817 followers

TikTok grew from 0 to 4,806 followers

YouTube grew from 0 to 1.68k subscribers

Beyond audience growth, the brand began gaining meaningful traction within the Catholic media space. Podcast viewership increased significantly, multiple pieces of content generated substantial conversation, collaborations formed with major Catholic creators in Australia and internationally, and the client received additional speaking invitations and guest podcast appearances.

Why this campaign mattered

This project demonstrates that strong personal brand growth is not built through trend-chasing alone. It comes from combining strong source material, smart repurposing, platform-aware strategy, and consistent execution over time.

My role

My role was not simply to edit clips. It was to help build a repeatable authority-building system that turned long-form content into a sustained multi-platform growth engine.
